Learn to Pray the Traditional Latin Mass

Many people think they cannot profitably participate in the Traditional Latin Mass because they don’t know Latin. That is false — for praying the Mass through the translation is a fine way to participate.

Nonetheless, the Latin is beautiful and worth getting to know. Here I hope to teach people who know no Latin how to pray the Mass. I will go through all the prayers and show you you already know a lot of Latin and a lot of the prayers.

And soon you will be praying the prayers in Latin!

For every prayer there will be:

  • A video introduction to the vocabulary used in the prayer and some background information on Latin
  • A downloadable version of the PowerPoint used in the vocabulary video
  • A video of an interlinear version of the prayer, with commentary on the Latin and the structure of the prayer
  • A downloadable copy of the interlinear version of the prayer. (You might want to print this out so you can take notes as you listen.
