Since the Cardinal McCarrick scandal blew up in July of 2018, Professor Smith has devoted her time to understanding the depth and breadth of the corruption in the Church. She helps victims, whistleblowers, and activists. Professor Smith authors a column in the
National Catholic Register, gives regular interviews and occasionally gives talks on Church corruption. She daily posts relevant articles on her
Facebook page.
